Bruckless
House,
the home of Joan & Clive Evans, is an attractive 18th century Classical
house with a traditional cobbled farmyard. It is set in 18 acres of parkland
which border Bruckless Bay, with spacious informal award-winning gardens
of the Robinsonian kind, and mature woodland. Connemara Ponies are bred
here and can be seen in the parkland and grazing down to the shore-line.
The House, built about 1745, is comfortably furnished with an oriental
flavour as the Evans family has spent many years in Hong Kong. The spacious
drawing room and elegant dining room have splendid views over the front
lawns towards the sea. There are four bedrooms, one twin en suite; a double
and two singlerooms. All these bedrooms are in close proximity to one
another and are very suitable for a single family/group.

Bruckless
House stands off the N56 road, 18km west from Donegal Town and about 5km
east of Killybegs.
It is the first driveway on the left coming from Donegal,
as one enters the village of Bruckless.
From here, the visitor can explore the many interesting and significant
archaeological sites or simply enjoy some of the most beautiful and unspoilt
Atlantic Coastline. Sea and river fishing can be arranged: there are two
golf courses within easy reach. Horseback riding may be arranged in Bruckless
nearby. Excellent restaurants in the vicinity.
