Susan and James returned here after living in Dublin for many years, acquired a derelict rectory with trees growing through the roof, and replaced it with a well-appointed replica-Rockwood House.

Enjoy breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the garden or just relax around the fire in the guests sitting room.
For dinner guests often go to the Derragarra Inn just down the road in Butlersbridge or, for fancier fare, the nearby Olde Post Restaurant. Upstairs, the spacious, very nicely decorated bedrooms are each accompanied by a snug bathroom. Beds are double, twin, or king if you request that the twin beds be zipped together. County Cavan is blessed with picture-postcard scenery—whichever way you turn you find waterways, rivers, and lakes set among gently rolling hills. Opportunities for fishing and walking abound. Popular sightseeing includes Belleek, with its pottery, Lough Erne, Castle Coole (a restored Palladian mansion), and Florence Court (a riot of rococo plaster).
