Location: Cong / Clonbur Road R345 1 km. from Clonbur Village. Ballykine House is situated on the road between the picturesque village of Cong and Clonbur (R345) the gateway to Connemara and approx 45 mins journey from Galway City. The surrounding countryside is rated as one of the most scenic in Ireland with its five lakes, mountains and forests. The location is ideally situated for touring Connemara.

Facilities: The immediate area is a fisherman's paradise, being surrounded by the two best known Trout and Salmon fishing lakes in West Europe, Lough Mask and Lough Corrib. Golf is available at nearby Ballinrobe and the famous Ashford Castle. Pony Trekking is available locally. Lake cruises are available daily on Lough Corrib to the famous Inchogill Island.
