Oldtown Farmhouse is a spacious and friendly bed and breakfast with a high standard of accommodation where you are assured of a warm welcome. It is situaited on an elevated site with scenic views of the surrounding country side. Located 500 meters off the N10 kilkenny to waterford road and 10 minutes drive from the medieval city of kilkenny.

Oldtown Farmhouse has four spacious en suite bedrooms with television, hair dryers and tea/coffee making facilities in all rooms. There is a lounge for guests to relax in after a days touring. Complimentary refreshments with home baking will greet you on arrival.

Oldtown Farmhouse is located 10 minutes drive from Kilkenny City, 20 minutes from Waterford City, 1 hour from Rosslare, 5 minutes from Thomastown and Jeorpoint Abbey the most famous cistercian settlement in ireland also in the area is Kells prirory, largest Augustinian settlement in ireland founded in1193 and nearby is kilree tower and high cross founded before 800 ad.

Also near by is the famous mosses pottery and only 1 km away is Mt. Juliet Golf Course and Jerpoint Glass Studios. Kiltorcan cart racing is only4 km. There are nice pubs and restaurants  in the area where you will get good food and entertainment.

nurseryOldtown  Farmhouse is on a family run farm and on the farm is a large  award winning propogation nursery which produces  and exports plants to fifteen countries  around the world and supplies the home market.
There is an ancient ring fort on the farm land dating back 1700 - 2000 years initial observation suggests it
was built and lived in by an ancient gaelic chieftan. For guests who are intrested we would be delighted to give
a complimentary tour of our nursery and ring fort and tell you the local history.

 

How To Get Here
from kilkenny take kilkenny to waterford N10 road take first turn left 1.6 km south of stoneyford village  on the N10 From thomastown Oldtown farmhouse is  signposted on the N9 take first turn right just 3.2km south of thomastown.
The house is well sign posted on both routes.
