Navan is centrally situated for visiting  Newgrange heritage site, Mellifont Abbey, Battle of Boyne site, Hill of Tara, Bective Abbey, Slane Castle, Kells, Trim Castle, Loughcrew – all of which are within 30 minutes drive.  Dublin airport is 40 minutes with direct bus to Airport every hour each day. Excellent bus service to/from Dublin city centre every 20 minutes, enjoy a days sightseeing in Dublin  without the hassle and expense of driving and parking in Dublin.

Location:
Navan is located in the North-East of Ireland, just 27 miles north of Dublin City Centre. For those coming from the capital, take the N3 road which will bring you straight into Navan town. Athlumney Manor Bed and Breakfast is centrally located on the R153, just 2km off the N3 ( see map below ).

For those coming from Dublin airport, take the M50 motorway over to the N3 and follow the same directions as above.

Once in Navan, you have the perfect base for exploring all that the Royal County has to offer. Trim Castle is only 8 miles away, Newgrange is just 15 miles away, the Hill of Tara is to be found just off the N3 from Dublin about 6 miles outside the town. Also in the nearby locality is the visitor centre at Kells, origin of the world famous Book of Kells.
