Welcome. My name is Terri Walsh and I am the proprietor of the Old Forge Bed & Breakfast, which is situated four miles outside of Ashbourne off the N2.

My husband and I have been renovating our home and now finally we are open for business.

The house is delightful with a log fire in the breakfast room, open-beamed ceilings and lovely designed bedrooms, each in their own style.

The house is set on three acres with lovely countryside for walkers. We look forward to your enquiries.

The Old Forge has three double rooms and one family room, which accommodates two adults and three children and also doubles as a disabled facility. All rooms have hairdryers.

The Old Forge offers a good selection of breakfast from our breakfast menu. Trained Chef for Breakfasts and Evening Meals. Vegetarian and special dishes can be catered for if arranged prior to booking.

Breakfast is served between 7.30 a.m. until 11.30 a.m., if you need to order an early breakfast please book in advance. Evening meals must also be booked in advance. A selection of Smoothies and Juices also available.

From Ashbourne

Follow the N2 out of Ashbourne, towards Slane and Derry, about 4 miles out of Ashbourne, on the left hand side of the road you'll see a huge sign which says 'Snail Box Pub', then take a left hand turn, if you miss that turn, take the next left, follow the road down passed the 'Snail Box Pub' on the right. You come to a cross roads, turn right, follow the road down for 2 miles, on your left is 'The Old Forge'.

From Dublin Airport

• At Airport Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M1 (signposted M1 Dublin)
• At roundabout take the 2nd exit, then join the M1 motorway (signposted Dublin)
• Leave the M1 at junction 3, then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the M50 (signposted M50 Southbound) M50
• Leave the M50 at junction 5 (signposted N2 City Centre, Derry), then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the N2 (signposted Derry, Ashbourne) Entering Dublin
• Continue forward onto the N2. Entering Ashbourne
• Arrive at Ashbourne, Co. Meath
