Ashton House is a luxury guesthouse set in a stunning location providing B and B accommodation in the garden of Ireland. It is positioned directly beside the Meeting of the Waters and pub that hosts traditional Irish music nights and Avoca film location for the TV series Ballykissangel .The Avonmor river and the Avovbeg river which join together and forms the Avoca river is such a stunning location that posed the poet Thomas Moore to write his poetry over two hundred years ago.

Ashton house opened in 2009 so all bedrooms are decorated to a very high standard .All rooms are en-suite with power showers,  tea/coffee making facilities, televisions, guest information and a hairdryer. Ashton house also has a large guest lounge to relax and unwind at the end of your day or an outside seating area over looking the gardens. Enjoy our famous traditional Irish breakfast with bacon eggs sausages etc, or a continental buffet with a selection of homemade breads, cheeses, cold meats, and fruits. Vegetarians also catered for.
Dublin airport is less than one hour and Dunlaighre ferry port 40 minutes. 
Also within 5 minutes is Rathdrum railway station with direct trains from Dublin, Rosslare and wexford 
Ashton House is within 5 minutes of Avondale the ancestral home of Charles Steward Parnell the uncrowned king of Ireland, the lands at Avondale feature spectacular walks through the woods and by the Avonmor River.
Glendalough is the second most visited tourist site in Ireland is just 15 minutes from Ashton house and also Brittas bay a famous blue flag sandy beach. Other recommended tourist attractions are Avoca (Ballykissangel) Avoca hand weavers, Powerscourt house  gardens and waterfall, The Sally gap, the Wicklow mountains,  Greenane farm museum and maze, Wicklow Gaol, Michaels Dwyer’s cottage, Mount Usher Gardens,  Clara Lara fun park, Brooklodge and Macreddin.
