Jacobs Well,  Pub / Restaurant / Function Room / B&B, is located on the Main Street in Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow, the geographical centre of “The Garden County”.

We are multiple winners of the highly prestigious Black & White Pub of the Year, and we are widely renowned for the excellence and the remarkable consistency of our food.  Our beautifully refurbished roomy Pub boasts two inviting real turf fires.  As you can see from our photos, our accommodation is most impressive. 
All rooms are ensuite with TV, Tea/Coffee-making facilities, hair-dryers, etc.



Rathdrum is located just 1 kilometre from Avondale, the ancestral home of Charles Stuart Parnell, the “Uncrowned King of Ireland”.  The lands at Avondale feature spectacular walks through the woods and by the Avonmore River.

Glendalough, the second most visited tourist site in Ireland is just 8 miles from Rathdrum.  Other notable local tourist attractions are The Meeting of the Waters, Avoca (Ballykissangel), Clara-Lara Fun Park, Powerscourt Waterfall & Gardens, Greenane Maze & Museum, Wicklow Gaol, Michael Dwyer’s Cottage, Mount Usher Gardens, Sally Gap, Wicklow Mountains, Brook Lodge & Macreddin. 

logoDublin City is only 37 miles from Rathdrum.  We are just 13 miles from the famous sandy beach at Brittas Bay.  Several more beautiful beaches are within a 30-minute drive from here.

Rathdrum is also an ideal base for those interested in hill-walking in the Wicklow Mountains which includes Ireland’s second highest peak, Lugnaquillia.

For the golf enthusiast we are in close proximity to Wicklow Links, Arklow Links, Woodenbridge, Coolattin, Druid’s Glen, Delgany, European & Blainroe golf courses.

Rathdrum’s Railway Station provides a direct link to Dublin in one direction, and Rosslare Ferry and Wexford heading south.  There is also an excellent Bus service to and from our town.
